Recently, while dissolving on text as part of a logo (yeah, I know...;)
another logo...gotta pay the bills) animation, I found that the shadow map
doesn't dissolve on with the object, it pops on. Short of creating a
fake shadow - a black version of the object with soft edges- the only
other way I've been able to resolve this is with a whole re-render of
the scene and then compositing the two versions with a fade. Any
thoughts?
Also, when limiting the shadow map area, it seems to create a perfectly
cropped rectangle, even when I target the lights as directly as
possible.
I'm game for any eloquent solutions.
